At our ‘A Taste Of Jeju’ Pop-Up Store that ran from 3-9 November 2025, it was more than just flavours🍊✨ ‘A Taste Of Jeju’ successfully wrapped up in Singapore, bringing a week-long taste of Jeju island’s nature, culture, and lifestyle directly to the heart of the city. Held at United Square shopping mall, the pop-up transformed the atrium into a compact Jeju showcase, inviting shoppers and passers-by, media and influencers alike to experience the island beyond postcards — through food, products, and interactive cultural moments. Over 70 Jeju-made products were specially brought in to Singapore for this pop-up, ranging from snacks and beverages, to natural skincare, fresh seafood, and even pet care products! Highlights included:
- Free Jeju mandarin sampling
- Sampling of flourless flounder fishcakes, marinated abalone and more!
- Giveaways and a limited-time sure-win roulette
- Jeju’s pure volcanic groundwater — for drinking, made into some of Korea’s most natural skincare and what’s more, even made into pet cleansers
- Publicity booths such as by Jeju Special Self-Governing Provincial Office of Education
For the Opening Ceremony of the ‘A Taste Of Jeju’ Pop-Up Store, we had Guests-Of-Honour such as the Vice Governor of Jeju Special Self-Governing Province; Vice Chairperson of the Jeju Special Self-Governing Provincial Council; Administrative Deputy Superintendent of Education; Chief of Economic Committee for Agricultural, Fishery, Livestock; Chief of Special Committee on Budget & Accounts; Minister & Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of the Republic of Korea; Director of Jeju Business Agency Jeju headquarters as well as UOL Senior General Manager to grace the event. We kicked off with a burst of rhythm by K-Pop Jeju Hunters, a five-member mixed-gender dance troupe from Jejusteez who specially flew in to Singapore despite their busy schedule, covering hits from Netflix’s K-pop Demon Hunters. The performance was carefully curated for the occasion. The Netflix film blends high-energy K-pop choreography with Korean folklore-inspired storytelling — a creative direction that resonates strongly with Jeju, an island widely known for its myths, shamanistic traditions, and cultural narratives passed down through generations. Inviting K-Pop Jeju Hunters to perform offered a contemporary expression of Jeju’s cultural identity, bridging modern K-pop with the island’s deeper heritage in a way that was dynamic, accessible, and engaging for Singapore audiences.
Interactive zones throughout the week such as Jeju1Cut, a Jeju-style photo zone featuring traditional gats and Jeju mandarin props — perfect for striking a pose, the whimsical “When Life Gives You Tangerines” photo wall, inspired by the Netflix sensational drama as well as a Jeju Haenyeo exhibition wall, honoring the island’s legendary sea women, all drew people in to the pop-up and let Jeju’s charm unfold.
The pop-up experience culminated into a joyful sensory spotlight on Jeju’s clean, natural heritage — from sea to soil to craft.
