Jeju-Singapore Music Cultural Exchange (The Origins Cipher)

The Origins Cipher, a joint performance between Singapore’s Siong Leng Musical Association, and Jeju’s musicians, presented a combination of Tang Poetry and traditional Jeju poetry while seamlessly blending Nayin and traditional Korean music. With the use of multimedia and space, this concert was rooted in traditional texts and art styles and revealed the commonalities of myths on humanity and delivered the notions of unity, openness and inclusiveness that transcended across time and space. An interaction between cultures, this event delved into two cultures, nations and traditions and at the same time, conveyed the common threads of beauty and humanity that existed within them.
