Jeju’s digital tourism platform Nowda surpassed 100,000 subscribers just four months after its launch on August 11, 2025, highlighting the rapid pace of innovation in the island’s tourism sector.
To celebrate, a special event was held on December 13 at 4:30 PM at Hamdeok Beach. The milestone was marked by a large-scale MOU signing involving 16 major organizations, including Naver Financial, Korea Tourism Organization, Jeju Tourism Association, Jeju Bank, and NH Nonghyup. The partnerships focus on tourism service integration, data-driven initiatives, and expanding sales channels for local products.
During the event, officials announced a campaign promoting balanced, year-round tourism, and introduced Choi Seung-yeon, a globally active CrossFit athlete who participated in Netflix’s Physical Asia, as Jeju Tourism Ambassador.

The celebration coincided with the launch of the “Beach Christmas & Memories 2025” festival at Hamdeok Beach (December 13–25), featuring a large Christmas tree, photo zones, beach lighting, family and dog-friendly programs, and local cultural experiences like making bingtteok and girumtteok. Co-created with the Hamdeok Village Association, the festival welcomes both locals and tourists.
This milestone and festival signals a new era in Jeju tourism, combining digital innovation, seasonal strategy, and regional collaboration for an inclusive and engaging visitor experience.
